Welcome Kit Deposit Policy
Joining the waitlist is free. No deposit is collected at this stage. A separate refundable Welcome Kit deposit is expected only when a future paid membership is activated.
Expected deposit by basket
- Meal Basket: ₹699 refundable deposit.
- Laundry Basket: ₹399 refundable deposit.
- Essential Basket: ₹999 refundable deposit.
- Complete Basket: ₹999 refundable deposit.
- The deposit is separate from the recurring membership price.
Purpose and ownership
- The deposit secures reusable service items supplied to members.
- It is not an onboarding, joining, registration or activation fee.
- It is not part of the recurring subscription charge.
- Reusable items remain One Big Basket property during membership.

- Steel tiffin set.
- Insulated tiffin bag.
- Laundry collection bag.
- Reusable identification tags.
Items you may keep
- Welcome sweet or food item.
- Printed welcome guide.
- Personalised welcome note.
- A used membership card, unless it must be returned for security.
Verification and refund
- Normal wear and tear is accepted.
- Original packaging is not required.
- Refund processing begins after collection and verification.
- The target refund period is 3 to 5 business days after verification.
- A disclosed deduction may apply only to a missing or seriously damaged essential item.
- Any deduction must record the item, replacement value, evidence, final amount, administrator and timestamp.
